For over 30
years, hairstyling has been my chosen career path.
Always knowing that my love of hair was driving me, I began with
“Precision Hair” and have since enhanced my skills with advanced education.
My foundation was my “Redken” salon apprenticeship, a European style of
on the job training. I have always loved learning and teaching the technical and
scientific basis for hairstyling. My focus on advanced continuing education has
provided me with the technical ability to create whatever I can see in my mind’s
eye. I credit my early Redken training along with Alan Benfield Bush, founder of
ABBA products and Obius Advanced Haircutting Academy in Cerritos, California,
the Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, and the Paul Mitchell annual symposium in
Kona, Hawaii which I’ve participated in numerous times for enhancing my love of
hair with knowledge.
I continually seek out the best, healthiest, environmentally
conscious products and technology to ensure the health and well being of you, me
and the planet.

As far back as I can remember, I have had a passion for precision hairstyling. My training began many years ago with Redken Precision. I focus on creating healthy, shiny, natural looking hair. My clients are always pleased with how long their haircuts last, which saves them time and money! Before leaving the area five years ago, I enjoyed a full clientele. Recently returning to Santa Cruz, I am delighted to be back and love being a part of the Oasis Eco-Salon team. I look forward to meeting you and providing you with the haircut and color of your dreams!

My passion for hairstyling began as a young girl when I was constantly creating new hairstyles on myself and my friends. Since receiving my cosmetology license from Gavilan College, I have continued my training as Wendy Rae Johnson’s protégé and am learning and mastering the same precision hairstyling skills Wendy Rae practices. My clients can depend on me to practice proper hair care techniques, recommend the best products for their hair, as well as show them how to care for their hair. I focus on creating healthy, shiny, natural hair. I love it when a client looks in the mirror after their hair cut and you can see the smile on their face that says, “I feel beautiful!”

I started my journey in hair design back when I was 18, and I have been excited about creating beautiful haircuts and color ever since. I have furthered my training in hair design by interning with Wendy Rae Johnson, gleaning from her years of expert training and have continued my education by taking classes in advanced precision haircutting and hair coloring techniques. I am excited to be working in a health conscious green environmnet, which fits in with my love of all things organic and healthy, being a raw food chef with many years of study in the natural health field. I am looking forward to meeting you and helping you to experience your hair at its absolute best.
A Matter of Trust
Human hair is highly effective in soaking up oil from toxic
spills. That is why we, at Oasis Hair & Skin Care, have joined the thousands of salons throughout the US and abroad who donate their hair clippings to Matter
Of Trust. This non-profit, based in San Francisco, CA, uses donated hair
clippings to create hairmats that are used in the cleanup of toxic oil spills
all over the world.
